Buick drivers know the high quality and luxury the brand offers. So, it's no surprise that Buick was rated number one by J.D. Power in its 2022 U.S. Initial Quality Study. For 2023, the Buick Model lineup includes three SUVs: the Buick Enclave, Encore GX and Envision. We'll look at the 2023 Buick lineup and explain each model's key features and the changes for the model year.

2023 Buick Enclave

The 2023 Buick Enclave is a midsize premium SUV with room for seven passengers. Buyers looking for new Buick SUVs will be enthralled with the Enclave's spacious cabin, attractive exterior styling, and wide array of standard features.

Buick offers the 2023 Enclave in Essence, Premium and Avenir trim levels. All models are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and buyers can choose the optional all-wheel drive.

The Enclave comes with a host of standard tech features, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Amazon Alexa, Wi-Fi, and USB charging ports in all three rows. Choose the Premium and Avenir trims, and you'll get standard real-time weather and traffic, an optional feature in the base Essence model.

Standard advanced safety gear includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning.

Changes for 2023 are limited to a new optional Sport Touring package that comes with 20-inch Gloss Black wheels. Buick also introduces a new exterior paint color: Moonstone Gray Metallic.

2023 Buick Encore GX

Buyers looking for a subcompact SUV with the perfect combination of power, efficiency and handling will want to look at the 2023 Buick Encore GX. There's plenty of space in the well-appointed for passengers to stretch out and stay comfortable. There's ample room for cargo, too.

The 2023 Buick Encore GX seats five and comes in three trim levels: listed as Preferred, Select and Essence. Powering the Encore GX is a standard turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. It makes 137 hp and 162 lb-ft. An optional 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine puts out 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available. Front-wheel-drive models get a continuously variable transmission (CVT). A nine-speed automatic gearbox is standard with all-wheel drive.

Technology features that come standard include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The Select and Essence models get an optional navigation setup.

Standard driver assistance features include forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, front pedestrian braking, and automatic emergency braking.

There are no changes for the 2023 model year other than the available Moonstone Gray Metallic paint color.

2023 Buick Envision

The 2023 Buick Envision is a compact luxury SUV known for its exquisite styling, powerful engine, and long list of technology features.

The Envision seats five and comes in three trims: Preferred, Essence and Avenir. Under the hood sits a potent turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that develops 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.

Standard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Alexa. The Preferred trim features an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while the other models are equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. The Avenir's standard navigation system is optional in the Essence trim.

The 2023 Buick Envision starts with the advanced safety features of the Encore GX. It adds enhanced emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and an automatic parking system. An HD surround camera system is standard on the Avenir and optional on the Essence.

Besides two new available paint colors (Moonstone Gray Metallic and White Frost Tricoat), the 2023 Buick Envision remains unchanged from the previous model year.
