GMC recommends routine maintenance for your Terrain every 7,500 miles. Here are highlights of your vehicle's maintenance visits.
7,500 Miles
Your 2022 GMC Terrain will alert you when it's within 600 miles of scheduled oil changes. Our service technicians will change the oil and oil filter during your first maintenance visit. They'll check and rotate the tires and do a multi-point vehicle inspection. In addition, they'll inspect the brakes, the parking brake, the fuel system, the exhaust system, the washer fluid, the engine coolant, the power steering fluid and more. These basic services are included with all subsequent maintenance visits.
22,500 Miles
In addition to the services listed above, when the odometer reaches 22,500 miles, the service technicians will replace the cabin air filter. This part ensures that dust, dirt and pollen stay out of the vehicle's interior.
30,000 and 37,500 Miles
These maintenance visits get the same services as the 7,500-mile visit.
45,000 Miles
At 45,000 miles, the service technicians will repeat the basic services and replace the cabin air filter and the engine air cleaner filter. If your 2022 GMC Terrain is a four-wheel-drive model, they'll replace the transfer case fluid. Finally, they'll inspect the vehicle's evaporative control system.
75,000 Miles
During the 75,000-mile visit, the technicians will perform the services of the basic 7,500-mile visit.
100,000 Miles
The 100,000-mile service visit includes an inspection of the vehicle's fuel system, ignition wires and exhaust system. The service technicians will replace the spark plugs, automatic transmission fluid and filter, and the engine air filter.
GMC recommends checking your Terrain's engine oil level whenever you stop for gas. If the vehicle is low on oil, top it off. Your owner's manual lists the appropriate oil for your 2022 GMC Terrain, but if you have any questions, call the Burns Buick GMC Service Center. We're here to help.
Check your vehicle's tires monthly for wear and ensure they're properly inflated. Driving on under- or over-inflated tires can be dangerous, and the tires may wear out faster.
