The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD is available in four trim levels: base (Sierra), SLE, SLT and Denali. All trims can be had with two- or four-wheel drive. We'll go over the different features that come standard with each model.
Base Sierra 2500HD
The base Sierra 2500HD is the entry-level model, but it's just as capable as the other trims. The base and SLE trims are offered in double cab and crew cab configurations. According to the Palmyra GMC dealership, the base is powered by a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 engine that generates 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose a more powerful 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 that produces 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque, mated to a different six-speed automatic gearbox. This engine has a bi-fuel option, which allows it to run on either gasoline or compressed natural gas (CNG).
Standard features include 17-inch steel wheels, xenon headlights, an automatic-locking rear differential, LED daytime running lights, a 40/20/40-split front bench, a fold-down center armrest, cloth or vinyl upholstery, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, power door locks, a rearview camera, a tilt-only steering wheel and cruise control. Also standard are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, two USB ports, Bluetooth and a stereo system with six speakers. Satellite radio and OnStar with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot are available.
Sierra 2500HD SLE
The Sierra SLE comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a remote-locking EZ Lift and Lower tailgate, tinted rear windows, carpeting, remote keyless entry, LED cargo box illumination, an upgraded 8-inch central touchscreen and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Sierra 2500HD SLT
The SLT and Denali trims are only offered as crew cabs. The SLT includes 18-inch wheels, foglights, more chrome trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-folding mirrors, leather upholstery, driver-seat memory settings, power-adjustable and heated front seats, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, remote ignition, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a 110-volt outlet.
Sierra 2500HD Denali
The top-of-the-line Denali trim adds a number of amenities to keep the driver and passengers comfortable. Standard features include 20-inch wheels, even more exterior chrome trim, a spray-in bedliner, front and rear parking sensors, a power-sliding rear window with a defogger, a navigation system, a Bose audio system, a wireless phone charger, upgraded interior trim, an 8-inch driver information display, a heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats.
Many of the standard features found in the upper trim levels are offered as options on the lower trims. Other available features include a bed storage box, different axle ratios, trailering mirrors, tonneau covers, a sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system and a gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailering prep package. Other option packages include the Driver Alert package, the Z71 suspension package and the All Terrain HD package.
