If you're looking for a subcompact crossover, you can choose any number of models in this popular segment. But you'd be remiss if you settled for anything less than the 2019 Buick Encore. The Encore offers everything you'd expect to find in a subcompact, as well as a long list of features that come standard. Inside, the driver and passengers will be treated to the quiet that Buick vehicles are known for. According to the Delran Buick dealer, the Encore's QuietTuning utilizes special sound-insulating glass in the windshield and side windows to keep the cabin whisper-quiet. There's sound-absorbing material beneath the carpets, and even the tires are specially formulated to keep noise at an absolute minimum. Anyone looking for abundant cabin space will be glad they chose the 2019 Buick Encore.

The 2019 Buick Encore comes in four different trim levels at dealerships like Delran Buick: 1SV, Preferred, Sport Touring and Essence. Front-wheel drive is standard across the board. We'll go over the features of each trim level to see what they offer.

1SV

The base 1SV trim is equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo-four engine that produces 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque, teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine is standard on the other trims. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated mirrors, air-conditioning, keyless ignition and entry, cruise control, a flat-folding front passenger seat, 60/40-split folding rear seats, roof rails, LED running lights and rear privacy glass. Technology equipment that comes standard includes an 8-inch touchscreen, QuietTuning and Active Noise Cancellation, OnStar with 4G LTE and a Wi-Fi hotspot, a stereo system with six speakers and satellite radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Buick Connected Services, two USB ports and Bluetooth.

Preferred

The Preferred trim comes with most of the same features as the 1SV, but along with the Sport Touring and Essence models, it can get optional all-wheel drive. The Preferred also gets a standard cargo cover and floor mats. Options include rear cross traffic alert, remote start, blind spot monitoring and a moonroof.

Sport Touring

Move up to the Sport Touring trim and you'll get remote start, a rear spoiler and foglights. The Sport Touring is eligible for blind-spot monitoring, an upgraded IntelliLink system with navigation, and a seven-speaker premium Bose audio system. (The navigation system and Bose stereo are also optional on the Essence trim.) Like the Essence, the Sport can get an available version of the 1.4-liter engine tuned to deliver 153 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.

Essence

The top-of-the-line Essence trim takes the Buick Encore to another level. Buyers get standard leather seating, driver seat memory, heated front seats, a power passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and a 120-volt power outlet. The Essence trim has an option package that features automatic wipers, an advanced cabin filter, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning. A sunroof is available in all trims except the base 1SV.
